About / Overview
Dr. Eric Clarke is a board-certified, fellowship-trained orthopaedic surgeon who has experience in private practice, hospital, pediatric, and trauma care. He has extensive experience as a sports medicine team physician as well.
In addition to earning his medical degree from East Tennessee State University, he simultaneously received a Master’s of Science in biochemistry. He then went on to train at four different residencies—two in general surgery and two in orthopaedic surgery—and two different fellowships. He was an AO Fellow in both Switzerland and Germany before returning to the states for an orthopaedic surgery sports medicine fellowship with the University of Buffalo, where he worked as a team physician for Buffalo State University, the NHL Buffalo Sabers, and the NFL Buffalo Bills.
Dr. Clarke has worked in many different clinical settings. He was the medical director of Benchmark Physical Therapy for 14 years. Dr. Clarke has beena team physician for many local high school and college sports teams, as well as event physicianfor special tournaments and events like NCAA Women’s Basketball, U.S. Amateur Road Cycling Championships, WWF Wrestling, and the NFL Scouting Combine.
