About / Overview

Joel Ledbetter, MD is a Pediatric Pulmonolgist who practices at Children's Hospital at Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga TN. He is also the division head of the Pulmonology department and the director of the CFF approved Cystic Fibrosis Center. He has a special interest in CF, chronic lung disease of infancy, difficult asthma and diffuse lung disease. He is extensively experienced in Pediatric flexible bronchoscopy Dr. Ledbetter is a native of Alabama and is a graduate of Auburn University. He received his medical degree from The University of Alabama in Birmingham and completed his Pediatric residency in Jackson MS at the University of Mississippi. He was the Chief Resident in pediatrics before completing his Pulmonary Fellowship in Birmingham AL at The University of Alabama in Birmingham. Away from the hospital, Dr. Ledbetter is involved in church and community activities. He enjoys cooking, travel, gardening, trail running and college football.
