About / Overview

Katherine "Katie" Stone is a nurse practitioner with Erlanger Palliative Care. She is board certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner and as an Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner.

Stone studied nursing at Chattanooga State Community College. She graduated from the program in 2009 with an Associate Degree and received her RN. After working in a hospital acute care setting for five years, she decided to return to school to seek her NP. Stone graduated from Southern Adventist University in 2013 with her Family Nurse Practitioner degree. She then went on to graduate from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga in 2017 with her Post Master's Certificate and her Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner degree.

Stone spent 10 years as a nurse in a hospital acute care setting before becoming a nurse practitioner with UT Cardiology. After four years in cardiology, she joined Erlanger's Palliative Care team. She has a passion for whole person care, and practices this with every patient she sees.
