Dr. Kenneth Kokko joined the UT Erlanger Kidney Transplant Center in June of 2017 as the Program and Medical Director. In this role, Dr. Kokko will be responsible for quality initiatives within the program, maintenance of transplation protocols, and interaction with the global transplant community.
Dr. Kokko is a transplantation-trained nephrologist. He is board-certified in Internal Medicine and Nephrology and most-recently served as the Program and Medical Director of the Renal Transplant Program at the University of Mississippi School of Medicine. Dr. Kokko received his medical degree, completed his residency in Internal Medicine, as well as his fellowship training in Nephrology at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia where he served on the faculty of the Emory Transplant Center for 8 years.
