About / Overview
Dr. Stacie Gilmore is a board-certified family medicine physician providing patients of all ages with comprehensive primary care services, including Women's Health. Dr. Gilmore has experience in both hospital and clinic settings, helping patients manage a wide variety of chronic medical conditions, including diabetes, heart failure, kidney disease, chronic lung disease, cholesterol and lipid disorders, arthritis, dementia, and many others.
Prior to medical school, Dr. Gilmore trained as a cultural anthropologist at Washington and Lee University in Lexington, Virginia. She spent several years working in West Virginia on community development projects and decided to pursue medical training to help fill the need for dedicated rural physicians. She attended the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, Georgia, for medical school, after which she completed family medicine specialty training at Self Regional Healthcare in Greenwood, South Carolina.
Dr. Gilmore has a love for small town community life and Appalachian culture. She hopes to stay in the region for many years to come, providing first-class medical care to the residents of Western North Carolina.
