Chief Administrative Officer
Gregg Gentry serves as the Chief of Staff to the President & CEO and Chief Administrative Officer for Erlanger Health System. In this capacity, he works closely with the President & CEO on strategy and governance and is responsible for administrative areas of the health system’s five hospitals, including Human Resources, Marketing, Public Relations, Development, Government Relations, and Payor Relations. He has been with Erlanger since 1989.
Mr. Gentry serves on the Investment Committee and works closely with the Legal and Compensation Committees of the Board of Trustees of Erlanger Health System. He also serves on the hospital’s Executive Compliance Committee and is Chairperson of the ContinuCare Board.
Mr. Gentry received his undergraduate and Master of Business Administration degrees at The University of Alabama. He is a member of several professional organizations including the American College of Healthcare Executives and the Society for Human Resource Management.
Mr. Gentry is active in the community and currently serves as Chairperson of the Finance Committee at his church. He also serves on the Erlanger Behavioral Health Board, the Health, Educational and Housing Facility Board of the City of Chattanooga (HEB) and the American Heart Association Board in Chattanooga. He previously served on the Boards of Goodwill and Plaza Surgery.
