Stephanie Boynton, FACHE
Market President and Chief Executive Officer of Outreach

Stephanie Boynton, FACHE, serves as the Market President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Outreach for Erlanger. Stephanie is a renowned leader in the rural hospital arena, having served as CEO of Erlanger Bledsoe Hospital, Erlanger Western Carolina Hospital, and Erlanger Sequatchie Valley Emergency Department since 2001. She began her career in healthcare in 1996 with the Bledsoe Community Medical Center in the financial department as a controller before rising to Chief Financial Officer.

A Pikeville, Tennessee native, Stephanie understands the critical role of the community hospital and healthcare in small towns. She was instrumental in the decision to expand emergency medical services to Sequatchie County, opening a 24/7 emergency facility in 2014. She is dedicated to keeping critical access to hospitals in rural communities.

Stephanie has served on several boards including serving as the board chair for the Tennessee Hospital Association (THA) Small and Rural Constituency. In 2022 she received the inaugural THA Small and Rural Hospital Leadership Award, and was the Rural Healthcare Executive of the Year in 2016.

Stephanie earned her bachelor's degree in business administration from Tennessee Technological University and her MBA in healthcare management from Western Governors University. She is a fellow of the American College of Health Executives.
