Jensen Hyde, MD, MPH, FACP
Chief Medical Officer
Jensen Hyde, MD, serves as the Chief Medical Officer of Erlanger. She is the first female CMO to lead the 130-year-old health system. As CMO, Dr. Hyde plays a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction of Erlanger and ensuring that the highest standards of medical care are maintained across the health system. She collaborates with Erlanger’s talented team of physicians, nurses, and healthcare professionals to drive innovation, foster a culture of continuous learning, and further elevate patient outcomes.
Previously, Dr. Hyde served as Chief Medical Quality Officer for Erlanger Medical Group and as a hospitalist at Erlanger. Dr. Hyde also holds assistant professor appointments with the University of Tennessee Health Science Center College of Medicine - Chattanooga for the Department of Internal Medicine, including Associate Program Director. She has served on multiple committees, including Pharmacy and Therapeutics, Medication Safety, and Internal Medicine Program Evaluation, to name a few.
Dr. Hyde, a board-certified internal medicine physician, earned her medical degree from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center College of Medicine in 2014. She completed her internship and residency in Internal Medicine at UT Health Science Center College of Medicine - Chattanooga before earning a Master of Public Health from Columbia University in 2020. She has earned several awards, including “Distinguished Women in Medicine” and “Top Doctor in Internal Medicine” by Top Doctors and “Resident of the Year” for 2016. Dr. Hyde has also been published in multiple peer-reviewed journals. Throughout her career, Dr. Hyde has excelled as a medical practitioner, contributing significantly to advancements in medical science and patient care.
